Of course this is the same leg that Kobe tore his Achilles tendon in April. Kobe returned complete with melodramatic video on Dec. 8 and has played in six games, the last three in which he played more than 30 minutes. He's averaged 13.8 points and 6.3 assists with 5.7 turnovers per game. The Lakers have gone 2-4 since Kobe's return after going 10-9 without him.
Like the drummer of Spinal Tap, the point guard position on the Lakers is a revolving door of injuries. Xavier Henry will now man the spot.
