Anderson Cooper Reveals Dorner Sent Him a Package

While the rambling manifesto published by former Los Angeles Police officer Christopher Dorner referenced local law enforcement personnel, he also made mention of several well-known names from entertainment, media, and national politics.

Dorner's document, posted online, includes his thoughts on attractive female celebrities, his remorse at having to miss seeing "The Hangover III," as well as thoughts on gun control.

While it seems in his violent rampage that began with the shooting deaths of a young couple in Irvine later tied by means of family tree to Dorner's ousting from the LAPD has focused on targeting law enforcement in Los Angeles and surrounding areas, a Tweet from news personality Anderson Cooper today suggests Dorner was reaching out to the media before he began this phase of his mission.

Cooper is singled out in Dorner's manifesto in the following paragraph about the media:

Willie Geist, you're a talented and charismatic journalist.
Chris Matthews, Joe Scarborough, Pat Harvey, Brian Williams, Soledad Obrien, Wolf Blitzer, Meredith Viera, Tavis Smiley, and Anderson Cooper, keep up the great work and follow Cronkite's lead. I hold many of you in the same regard as Tom Brokaw and the late Peter Jennings. Cooper, stop nagging and berating your guest, they're your (guest).

No other information about the package sent to Cooper, nor if any of the others mentioned received similar correspondence from Dorner.
