This week promises to be a funny one, with the cast of FX's "The League" putting together a show, plus some great charity work being done at El Cid. And Jesse Miller's talk show hits the two-year mark!

If you've got a show coming up that you'd like to see listed here, email me. No guarantees, just good times.

This Show is Your Show, 8p Nerdmelt Showroom. Matt Bennett’s occasional Nerdmelt show returns with names like Eliza Skinner, DC Pierson, Matt Ingebretson, Zack Pearlman and a bunch more people.

Keep it Clean Comedy, 10p Public House. JC Coccoli’s stand up show features Maria Bamford, Emily Maya Mills, Jerrod Charmichael and others.

Literary Death Match, 7:30p Largo. Storytellers, actors, writers, entertainers, comedians and more all come out to tell the best story - or die!

Comedy Alert, 10p Laugh Factory. It’s stand up time, with Anthony Jeselnik, Moshe Kasher, Ian Edwards and more.

An Evening with The League, 7p The Ray Stark Family Theatre, USC. The cast from FX’s popular The League get together to screen a new episode and handle a Q & A for all the curious college kids.

Brendon Walsh, 8:30p Hollywood Improv. Walsh is taping a new album, and he’d love to get some of your laughs to help fill the room.

Sit N’ Spin, 8p Comedy Central Stage. The popular monthly storytelling show at the Comedy Central Stage on Santa Monica Blvd. returns this week, and promises to be as great as ever.

Stand Up on the Spot, 8p Little Modern. Neal Brennan, Eric Andre, Brent Weinbach, Hugh Moore and others are getting out to improvise some great stand up.

FRIDAY 10/12

Jesse Miller Talk Show 2 Year Anniversary, 10p Hollywood Improv. The amazing Jesse Miller (Andre Hyland) continues his rise to the top with guest Martin Starr, plus Joe Wagner and the usual crew of crazy chracters.

President You, 10:30p ComedySportz. As the election nears, the ComedySportz crew wants to make you part of the action, by improvising a full campaign (including songs, slogans and platforms), all culminating with an election.

Joke Machine, 8p Nerdmelt Showroom. Part gameshow, part variety show and part stand up, the evening pits three comedians against each other for funny supremacy. This week features Eddie Pepitone, Ron Lynch and David Taylor.

Sketch Cram, UCB Midnight. The writers work all day, the actors rehearse all night, and at midnight, the show goes up!

SUNDAY 10/14

El Show, 8p El Cid. Sam Brown, Michael Busch and Eric Moneypenny have combined to bring together a charity show with a bunch of familiar faces, including Trevor Moore, Eric Andre, Key & Peele, Heather Campbell and so much more. Good cause, greater comedy.

Gravid Water, 9:30p UCB. This ultra-popular show takes real actors who know their lines and drops them into scenes with improvisers who have no idea what’s about to be said. The results are magical.
