Get Out: ARTmageddon, Moon Festival, Cinerama & Fuck That Fest

GOOD CARMA: Looking for something to do while you wait out Carmageddon II this weekend? For a quick guide to all things art-related, check out ARTmageddon, a website that lists events happening across L.A. over the two-day closure of the 405 Freeway. Running under the slogan "Less Car. More ART!", ARTmageddon includes a convenient interactive map of the area, as well as the option of finding events in your area. But don't forget to leave your cars at home, if you decide to check an event out!

MOON FESTIVAL: Angelenos can enjoy lion dancers, kung fu artists, art projects, and moon cake sampling during tonight’s celebration of the 74th annual Moon, or Mid-Autumn, Festival at the L.A. Chinatown Central and West Plaza from. The free event goes from 5 to 11 p.m. and is open to everyone. For more details, you can check out the website or call (213) 680-0243.

FILM: Arclight continues its weeklong celebration of the 60th anniversary of Cinerama with special screenings of Cinerama productions at Hollywood’s Historic Cinerama Dome. While some of the films will be digitally projected, select productions—like today’s presentation of “The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm”—will be shown in the three-strip Cinerama process. MUSIC: Fuck That Fest, a music and art festival, will feature 21 bands on three stages, food, and art. Doors open at 3 p.m., with band performances beginning at 5 p.m. It will all go down in a Boyle Heights warehouse at 3401 union pacific los angeles 90033. The event is open to all ages. Tickets: $5.
