June continues to chug right along, and the best parts of summer are starting to fall upon us. Don't waste these precious days watching Breaking Bad or whatever... go see shows!

If you've got an upcoming comedy show you'd like to see listed in the future, email me. I might just come down from my pedestal long enough to reply.

MONDAY 6/11

True Story, 7:30p iO West. The LA Improv Fest may be over, but the great shows at iO West continue, including this monthly storytelling extravaganza.

Roast the Week, 10:30p Hollywood Improv. Mike Bridenstine hosts a new week of stand up comics firing off jokes about the week that was.

TUESDAY 6/12

Lucy / Lucille, 8:30p iO West. A one-woman show (starring Anna Lisa McClelland) about a perennially perky New Yorker who tries to save a misguided pug and a friend with a questionable brain capacity.

Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction, 9p Nerdist Theater. Rob Delaney, Eliza Skinner, Moshe Kasher, Guy Braunum and a bunch of other comics fight to the finish over whose erotic fan fiction is better.

WEDNESDAY 6/13

Steve Szlaga’s 23 Roommates, 8p Comedy Central Stage. UCB’s Szlaga has lived with 23 different roommates. None of them are normal.

Sad People Talking, 9:30p Nola’s. It’s a venue change for this great stand up show, as they move downtown to the Arts district. Comics include Jackie Kashian, Sean O’Connor, Johnny Pemberton and more.

THURSDAY 6/14

Straight, White & Loving It!, 8p Nerdist Theater. Key & Peele writer and UCB regular Charlie Sanders tackles another one man show, focusing on the trials and pitfalls of being so naturally privileged.

Nick’s Big Talk Show, 9:30p UCB. Nick Thune hosts his own monthly talk show alongside Nic Wegener. This month they’ve got Rainn Wilson and Trevor Moore.

FRIDAY 6/15

The INTecollectuals, 9p Electric Lodge Theater. If you’re in Venice, consider checking out this monthly sketch comedy show, with high energy bits and plenty of musical accompaniment. Party to follow, and probably start about halfway through.

Jim Jeffries, 10p Brea Improv. Make the drive to Brea to catch this hilarious Australian headlining all weekend.

SATURDAY 6/16

Charlie Murphy, 9:30p Ontario Improv. Head east for a weekend with the inescapable Charlie Murphy.

That Beautiful Laugh, 10p Open Fist Theater. The Hollywood Fringe Festival continues with a sketch show from Four Clowns, about moon clowns who teach the world how to laugh again. You know, normal stuff.

SUNDAY 6/17

Stardumb, 9p Flappers. Bil Dwyer hosts a celebrity game show where teams compete to see who wins the weirdness of being a celebrity. Guests include Maria Bamford, Jon Dore, Jimmy Dore, Janet Varney and more.

Skinny Sundays, 9:30p Hollywood Improv. Kyle Kinane is stopping by for a set at one of the better stand up shows in town.
