Kat Von D Sued by Insurance Company For Burning Her Own House Down
When Kat Von D's Hollywood Hills house burned down in 2010, killing her beloved hairless cat Valentine and smiting most of her possessions, she tweeted, "In order to gain everything, you must lose everything."
But apparently losing her pet and all her stuff wasn't enough; now, State Farm Insurance, which paid for the damage initially, is suing the tattoo artist to the tune of $909,199.
TMZ reports that the insurance company wants the money — which represents the entire cost of the fire — back because it was Von D who left candles burning throughout the house, ultimately causing it to go up in flames.
The suit was filed in an L.A. court today.
