MONDAY 4/2

The BEATdown, 8p Nerdist Theater. Eliza Skinner returns with a comedy freestyle rap battle, this month featuring Suzi Barrett, Kimmy Gatewood, Eli Olsberg and more.

Tiger Lily, 8p Hollywood Studio Bar & Grill. Sean O’Connor, Pete Holmes and Barry Rothbart are leading the charge for a night of stand up at one of LA’s best shows.

TUESDAY 4/3

Live! From Previous Recording, 8p Second City. Alexis Notabartolo and Amanda Barnes are: Velvet Pile, a sketch comedy duo that invites you to see things a little differently.

Tremendosaur Sells Out, 8p Comedy Central Stage. The unstoppable comedy duo Tremendosaur is cashing in big time with a night of heavily-branded sketch comedy.

WEDNESDAY 4/4

The Meltdown Show, 8:30p Nerdist Theater. Matt Besser, Bo Burnham, Dan Levy, Barry Rothbart and a bunch of other great stand ups are hanging out behind Meltdown Comics.

Mash Up, 9:30p El Rey. Comedy Central is taping multiple episodes of this madcap stand up shows over Tuesday and Wednesday, with TJ Miller hosting. Guests will include Pete Holmes, Chris D’Elia, Jonah Ray, Hannibal Buress, Reggie Watts and more.

THURSDAY 4/5

Open Projector Night, 7:30p Hammer Museum. The Sklar Brothers MC a night of short film screenings.

Comedy is Dead, 8p Hollywood Forever Cemetery. This ghastly funny stand up show returns with Sarah Silverman, Tim Heidecker, Steve Agee and others.

FRIDAY 4/6

Set List, 9:30p Nerdist Theater. Todd Glass, TJ Miller and a bunch of other stand ups take the stage having been given their setlist the moment they hit the stage.

Diamond Lion, 11p UCB. Hands down one of the best improv shows in LA, to say nothing of the fact that they sing through most of it.

SATURDAY 4/7

April Foolishness 2012, Gibson Amphitheatre. As an all-day affair, Kevin & Bean are bringing along Bob Saget, Jay Mohr, Eddie Izzard, Larry King and a bunch of other stand ups.

The Tomorrow Show, 8p Trepany House (Steve Allen Theater). The venue name and production may have changed, but Ron Lynch’s Tomorrow Show remains as wonderful and weird as ever.

SUNDAY 4/8

Slapdogz, 7:30p Hollywood Improv Lab. Two-man sketch group Matty and Ben bring along some of their friends to join in the hijinks.

Hot Sauce, 9:30p UCB. The Hot Sauce guys (Gil Ozeri, Ben Schwartz & Adam Pally) put together a night of long form improv.
