Tuesday is Valentine's Day, so be sure to treat your significant other right with a night out at a comedy show. Single and jaded? Even better! Try a dose of laughter to cure your emotional ills.

As always, if you've got a show you'd like to see listed in the future, just email me.

MONDAY 2/13

MTV Showcase, 8p The Laugh Factory. A great group of comedians - including Eli Olsberg, Karl Hess, Shelby Fero and Zack Pearlman (LAist interview) - look to make a name for themselves in front of the MTV brass, all for your amusement.

Eddie Izzard, 11:45p Largo. Izzard is up late for what promises to be a fantastic Largo show.

TUESDAY 2/14

Holy F*ck, 9p Downtown Independent. Matt Braunger (interview) looks to pack the spacious Downtown Independent for a night of laughs. This is a show we love.

Public School, 9p M Bar. Rachel Bloom, Shelby Fero, Alie Ward and a bunch of other fantastic folks offer up true tales to a lovestruck audience.

WEDNESDAY 2/15

Starfish Circus, 8p Largo. Greg Behrendt, Dave Anthony and Marc Maron offer up some post-Valentine’s stand up for your brooding pleasure.

Frolic, 9p Far Bar. Frolic as we know it is going away for a little while the bar gets a facelift, so make this one count. Matt Champagne will be around, along with Dan St. Germain, Ryan Stout, Howard Kremer and more.

THURSDAY 2/16

The Super Serious Show, 8p Café Club Fais Do-Do. This phenomenal show is changing venues but still bringing the pain, with David Koechner, Jen Kirkman, Mary Lynn Rajskub, James Adomian and others.

Kid Grift Steals Your Show, 11p UCB. The great Harold team Kid Grift is taking your favorite UCB improv shows and hijacking them for their own nefarious improv purposes.

FRIDAY 2/17

Dana Carvey, 8p Ontario Improv. He’s only doing a couple of shows out in Ontario, so plan accordingly.

The Friday Forty, 11p iO West. Three contestants answer pop culture questions about the week that was while working through forty ounces of malt liquor. Awesome.

SATURDAY 2/18

Minor League Harold Night, 8p Artworks Theater. It’s a night of teams doing nothing but Harolds. Old favorites, fun new teams experimenting with the form…this show’s so full of inside baseball comedy content that the name actually makes sense.

Telethon, 8:30p Nerdist Theater. Jay Larson and Brandie Posey are bringing the 80’s telethon back in a big way, complete with videos, live sketches and stand up.

SUNDAY 2/19

Broken Lizard, 7p Brea Improv. The BL guys are doing a wild and ridiculous show in Brea all weekend.

Entertainment Hollywood Live!, 9:30p UCB. Erin Gibson and Bryan Safi continue to make magic happen with their two Hollywood obsessed, over-tinted gossip expert characters.
