The Philharmonic Society, the OC's oldest music organization, is kicking off the 10th annual Laguna Beach Music Festival this week. For $60, you can go to an intimate salon performance this Monday featuring the artists with wine and hors d’oeuvres. Performers include Joshua Bell (on Friday the 10th), Edgar Meyer (Thursday the 9th), and the Calder Quartet will join Joshua Bell and Edgar Meyer for the final two performances on Saturday and Sunday.

The Tokyo String Quartet
is coming to Orange County this week to perform at Soka University. The program includes works by Debussy, Haydn, and Bartok.

Placido Domingo returns to the stage in a production of Simon Boccanegra in the titular role. The first performance with the LA Opera is this Saturday with repeat performances on the 15th, 19th, 21st, and 26th of February.
