Welcome into 2012, everyone. We've been doing this weekly comedy calendar for too many years to count now, and there aren't any plans to slow down in the near future. So, if you've got shows you'd like to recommend for the near future, email 'em over and you might just find it hear. Otherwise, enjoy yourselves, behave, and laugh like madmen.

MONDAY 1/2

True Story, 8:30p iO West. It’s another round of mainstage storytelling, with the theme being: Nemesis.

Dasariski, 11p UCB. These improv legends are taking the late Monday slot over in Franklin Village.

TUESDAY 1/3

The BEATdown, 8p Nerdist Theater. Eliza Skinner’s fantastic comedy rap battle show is taking over the back room at Meltdown Comics.

SATURDAY 1/7

Two-Headed Beast, 8p Stories Books. It’s a storytelling extravaganza, with the hilarious Lindsay Ames, Ali Waller, Joe Mande and others.

Eddie Griffin, 9p Brea Improv. Griffin is doing a few Friday and Saturday shows down in Brea.

SUNDAY 1/8

Harland Williams, 7p Irvine Improv. Williams is making the drive to Irvine this weekend, and maybe you should, too.
