Just because Christmas is over and New Year's is still a few days away, that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of great comedy shows around town this week. A lot of regular shows are still in holiday mode, so expect to see fun renditions of some great shows you already know and love.

MONDAY 12/26

Get What You Wished For, 7p UCB. Didn’t get anything from the top of your wishlist this year? Trade in your sorrow for giggles as Eugene Cordero, Suzi Barrett, Anthony King and more improvise off of your missed opportunities.

True Story, 9p iO West. It’s another round of Debbie Friedman’s storytelling show on the mainstage.


TUESDAY 12/27

Fresh Faces, 7:30p Hollywood Improv. Brody Stevens joins John Henson and a bunch of other comics for a holiday stand up bash.

Performance Anxiety, 8p The Pleasure Chest. Margaret Cho, Jackie Kashian and a few others are dropping by at the sexiest comedy spot in town.


WEDNESDAY 12/28

Meltdown, 8:30p Nerdist Theater. Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani are back for another round of stand up in the back of a comic book shop, with Jon Dore, Duncan Trussell, Moshe Kasher and more great folks.


Dot Comedy, 10p Laugh Factory. Pete Holmes has snapped up Ari Shaffir, Chelsea Peretti, Kumail Nanjiani and a few other comics for a night of stand up.


THURSDAY 12/29

Chris D’Elia, 8p Hollywood Improv. The Whitney co-star has brought Greg Fitzsimmons along for some stand up.

Gallows Humor, 8p Vlad the Retailer. DC Pierson and Jon Daly lead the way for a night of great alternative stand up.


FRIDAY 12/30

Shitty Holidays, 8p UCB. The Shitty Jobs guys are changing the focus to the holiday season, using your worst moments to make some of the best improv around.

Orpheus Roy, 10p iO West. It’s another heavy-hitting long form improv Friday night, with Old Milwaukee sharing the hour.


SATURDAY 12/31

Pablo Francisco, 10p Brea Improv. Francisco is doing is thing in Brea all weekend, but if you’re looking for an OC date night for New Years, this could be it.

Joe Rogan, 10p Hollywood Improv. If you’re thinking of staying closer to home in LA, Rogan is doing shows all night at the Improv on Melrose.

SUNDAY 1/1

Jo Koy, 7p Ontario Improv. Wake up pantsless somewhere well east of LA? Why not make the most of it with some hangover day stand up!

Craig Shoemaker, 7p Irvine Improv. The white folks at The Spectrum are going to LOVE this show.
