While the second half of the week is relatively quiet (considering how this town clears out for the holidays), there's still plenty of great stuff to see, including a Christmas benefit with Patton Oswalt. And, as always, the Laugh Factory is hosting free shows and meals for the underprivileged on Christmas Day, which is simply amazing. Happy holidays, everyone!
If you've got a show in the new year that you'd like to see listed, email me.
Dungeons & Dragons, 8p Comedy Central Stage. Amy Vorpahl presents her ‘one nerd show’, a series of supremely dorky characters.
The Dork Forest, 8p Nerdist Theater. Jackie Kashian is bringing in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creator Kevin Eastman, which is sort dorkably amazing.
The Noises On! Holiday Pageant, 11p UCB. It’s an improvised holiday pageant, featuring Betsy Sodaro, Joe Wengert and a bunch more great players. The hour is shared with Rough Cut, the improvised movie!
Room 101, 8p The Complex - Flight Theater. After last week’s charity show, the Shakedown team returns with Guy 5, Soaring Spirit and a bunch more awesome folks doing long form improv .
Conan Stand Up Showcase, 10p Flappers. It’s a battle to see who gets to perform on Conan, except the audience wins no matter what. Sets by Erik Charles Nielsen, Dominic Dierkes, Moshe Kasher and more.
Kool Thing, 8:30p Hollywood Improv Lab. Rob Delaney, Brendon Walsh and Jonah Ray are all getting out to tell stories and jokes and generally have a great time.

Christmas Spectacular!, 8p Hollywood Improv. Stephen Glickman has put together a night of stand up featuring Sam Tripoli, Brad Williams and Erik Charles Nielsen, among others.

Merry Erv Christmas, 8p Laugh Factory. Elon Gold, Neal Brennan and more will be holding down the fort for any loners looking for a laugh.
Gabriel Iglesias, 7p Ontario Improv. If you’re really desperate for comedy, head out to Ontario to catch Gabriel Iglesias. This is probably the only pay comedy show within a hundred miles.
