LAst Laugh: This Week in Comedy

You can't trust the outdated website, but there *should* be some sort of Eagle Rock Comedy Festival going on this week. Should.

At any rate, it's a big week for comedy at large, with shows from Russell Brand out by the beach to Bill Burr back in Brea. If you've got a show you'd like to see listed in the future, email me.

MONDAY 12/5

Britney! Courtney! Whitney!, 7:30p iO West. Three sorority girls get ready for the biggest frat party of their lives.

Telethon!, 8p Nerdist Theater. It’s a telethon-style variety show set in the 1980’s, so what’s not to love. Join Paul Danke and more as they try to ‘Save Murder Woods’.

TUESDAY 12/6

Russell Brand, 8:30p Comedy & Magic Club. Brand is doing two nights in the small room out at this club by the beach.

Jeff Garlin w/ Michael Moore, 9p Largo. Garlin continues his conversation series, this month with controversial documentarian Michael Moore.

WEDNESDAY 12/7

The End Show, 8p The Last Bookstore. Kyle Kinane, Joe Mande, Shawn Pearlman and others invade downtown for a night of comedy.

Frolic, 9p Far Bar. One of downtown’s continuing comedy successes, this night features Adam Ray, Erik Charles Nielsen and more.

THURSDAY 12/8

Glitter In The Garbage Live!, 8p Comedy Central Stage. Drew Droege’s Earwolf podcast is back for another live installment of the character-heavy improvised show.

Comedy Palace, 9:30p The Palace Restaurant. Jen Kirkman, Jason Nash, Ali Wong and a bunch of other great comics head out for this always awesome show in Los Feliz.

FRIDAY 12/9

Adult Contemporary Comedy, 9p The Fake Gallery. Bill Dwyer, TJ Miller, Chris Fairbanks and a bunch more great stand ups are keep it very ‘light rock’ for the night.

Bill Burr, 10p Brea Improv. Burr is doing a long stand down in Brea. Better make your show of choice a late one.

SATURDAY 12/10

One-Two Punch, 8p Benton Manor. It’s another Barbara Gray house party-turned-show in Silverlake, with Eddie Pepitone, TJ Miller and an energy you cannot deny.

Paul Scheer Christmas Spectacular, 8p Largo. Scheer and some of his best comedy pals are making a holiday night of it in support of the USO.

SUNDAY 12/11

I’m Going Somewhere With This, 8p The Mint. It’s a storytelling bonanza down on Pico Blvd., with Moshe Kasher, Rob Delaney, Margot Leitman and too many other great people to name.

Best of Fest, 9p Ice House. As the Eagle Rock Comedy Festival closes out their run, the best shows line up for a special free show in Pasadena.
