It's that spooky time if year, when Halloween themed shows start popping up in the places you least expect. There's a particularly raucous one going down at the Steve Allen Theater this weekend, while Marc Maron is taping his podcast and hosting a new show at the Laugh Factory this week. Both should be scary good.

If you've got a show coming up that you'd like to see listed here, email me. Happy Halloween weekend, everybody!

MONDAY 10/24

The Apple Sisters, 8p Nerdis Theater at Meltdown Comics. The lovely Sisters are radio (and podcast) hits, so be sure to check out their Halloween-themed show.

Nick Kroll & Friends, 9p Largo. Kroll always brings along a great bunch of folks to share the stage with, including Ed Helms, Jenny Slate and Matt Braunger.

TUESDAY 10/25

Performance Anxiety, 8p The Pleasure Chest. Brent Weinbach, Dan Levy (LAist interview here), Nick Thune and TJ Miller are all stopping by, alongside some other fantastic LA comics.

WTF! Live, 8p Steve Allen Theater. As good as Marc Maron’s podcast is to hear in the car, it’s even better live.

WEDNESDAY 10/26

Ben Seeder Presents, 8p Comedy Central Stage. Ben Seeder offers up a night of characters, each one guaranteed to be a little bit awkward and a whole lot hilarious.

Dot Comedy, 10p Laugh Factory. Marc Maron hosts a night of comedy, and he’s brought Pete Holmes, Dana Gould, Maria Bamford and more out to do what they do best.

THURSDAY 10/27

Gallows Humor, 7:30p Vlad The Retailer. There’s another indie show in town, and this one features Jon Daly, Jake Weisman, Dominic Dierkes and more.

Hamclown, 9p Alexandria Hotel. Matt Dwyer, Ali Waller, Barry Rothbart and a whole bunch more great comics descend on downtown for another edition of Josh Androsky and Grant Pardee’s indie stand up show.

FRIDAY 10/28

The Comic Gallery, 7p Westside Comedy. It’s a gallery showing, with real audiences - and real comics, making fun of the whole thing. The Walsh Brothers and Hampton Yount should be more than enough reason to brave the drive to Santa Monica.

Halloween Highway, 8p Steve Allen Theater. It’s a crazy weekend of shows at the Steve Allen, and this comedy menagerie’s got Neil Hamburger, Ron Lynch, Eddie Pepitone and a whole lot more.

SATURDAY 10/29

Space Boners Halloween Show, 7p Silverlake Lounge. The great Space Boners stand up show is telling jokes and making room for a dance floor in what should be an absolutely hilarious night of comedy.

Todd Glass, 9p Brea Improv. Glass is doing his thing all weekend in Brea.

SUNDAY 10/30

David Alan Grier, 7:30p Irvine Improv. Grier is spending his weekend in Irivne doing shows. He’ll likely get lonely. You should join the man.

Hot Sauce, 9:30p UCB. Ben Schwartz, Gil Ozeri and Adam Pally are Hot Sauce, and they’re about to blow your brains out with improv. Sorry.
