Eccentric California Treasure Hunter Will Scour The Sea For Bin Laden Body
A California treasure hunter, salvage diver, and "patriotic American," seeks a deeply disturbing, deep sea prize — the body of Osama bin Laden. 59-year-old Bill Warren has "vowed to scour the north Arabian Sea" until he finds the corpse, according to the New York Post. Says Warren, "We intend to locate/recover his body and photograph and video tape him, then do a DNA test on the ship," according to TMZ.
Confident he can find bin Laden's body, Warren, who has discovered more than 200 wrecks, plans to spend approximately $400,000 on the two-week mission next month including a $10,000 per day rented ship and a remote-operated sub, according to the New York Post.
Disappointed with Obama's disclosure level, Warren naturally turned to his girlfriend for input:
"The Obama administration should have released the photo, like we did with Billy the Kid, or [John] Dillinger, or even Saddam Hussein," said Warren. "I have a Russian girlfriend, and she tells me that over there, in intelligence circles, they don't believe bin Laden's really dead."
