This morning's 4.5-magnitude quake as measured by a seismograph in Borrego Springs (USGS)
A magnitude 4.5 earthquake was reported at 8:22 a.m. Thursday along the California-Mexico border between Calexico and Mexicali, according
to the U.S. Geological Service. The quake was followed by a half-dozen aftershocks
measuring up to 3.0 over the course of the morning.
The quake is likely an aftershock of the 7.2-magnitude temblor that damaged roads and buildings in the region on Easter Sunday 2010.
The quake lightly shook San Diego and was felt as far north as Riverside County according to USGS' community reports map.
