2 Troublemaking Brits in Westwood: Banksy & Jamie Oliver
When British Chef and TV personality Jamie Oliver set up his "Food Revolution" studios in Westwood, a lot of folks went "Huuuuhhhh?" considering the neighborhood is largely a blend of high-end living and the UCLA college town. Yesterday, when word hit that Brit street art superstar Banksy's handiwork had cropped up on a wall in Westwood, well, since that's not his usual L.A. turf, many an eyebrow was raised.
It was inevitable the two would "meet." Or, at least that in-the-flesh Jamie Oliver would be spotted mugging with the image Banksy left behind—which is what happened when LAist Featured Photos pool Lord Jim showed up to document the controversial artist's latest L.A. offering.
The wall is on Kinross, between Glendon and Westwood. LAist's Lisa Brenner also cruised by to check it out, and snapped some shots, too.
