An interview with Comedian Greg Fitzsimmons

dearmrsfitzsimmons-2.jpg Greg Fitzsimmons recently published his memoir, "Dear Mrs. Fitzsimmons: Tales of Redemption from an Irish Mailbox"Last week we reviewed multi-Emmy winning TV writer, stand-up comedian, and radio host Greg Fitzsimmons' memoir Dear Mrs. Fitzsimmons: Tales of Redemption from an Irish Mailbox, a book we thoroughly recommend you check out now that you've received all those great book store gift cards.

We had the chance to sit down with Fitzsimmons (see video above) to discuss the process for writing his book, which involved going through an archive of all the disciplinary notices, police citations, and letters from angry comedy venues that his mother had kept and handed over to him. It was a tough process, and although a lot of the end result is very amusing, he had to confront a lot of issues and experiences he had buried for decades.

Fitzsimmons also discussed his start in comedy, his take on religion, as well as upcoming projects he is involved in. If things fall into place for him, you could be watching up to three TV programs put together with his involvement.
