Obama Traffic Hell this Friday? Maybe Not This Time

The White House is not going to announce days ahead what streets President Barack Obama will be using when he comes to town on Friday, but the administration is definitey aware of the anger caused back in August when a 30 minute drive turned into a three hour one. If anything, things shouldn't be as crazy this time. Obama is scheduled to attend a fundraiser for U.S. Senate candidate Barbara Boxer and hold a rally at USC.
"We can't release all the details yet, but it looks like only two streets will be closed between 11:20 (a.m.) and 3 p.m.," LAPD gt. Mitzi Grasso told the Daily News. "We've been working with the CHP, Department of Transportation and the U.S. Secret Service to minimize the impact on motorists."
"Our special operations section says it will be a minimal impact on traffic," added LADOT spokesperson Sean Anderson, who said there should be areas where you can cross the street.
