The Wait for Chick-Fil-A in L.A. is Over
After years of seeing other cities and towns across Southern California welcoming Chick-Fil-A to their community, L.A can finally join in on the fun. The long wait is over. The chain known for inventing and in my opinion, perfecting the chicken sandwich will open tomorrow at 3758 S. Figueroa St., on the southeast edge of USC's campus.
For LA-based Chick-Fil-A fanatics it means not having to make what Aziz Ansari called "the pilgrimage" to Redondo Beach's Southbay Galleria. For Chick-Fil-A, this marks the 43 year-old chain's 1,500th location.
Along with deliciousness in the form of chicken sandwiches, waffle fries and sweet tea, Chick-Fil-A says it's is also bringing 50 new jobs to LA.
Just as we saw in Valencia, I mean "Awesometown," the chain will once again be awarding a free year’s supply (52 certificates) of Chick-fil-A to the first 100 adults in line tomorrow morning. The line officially opens today at 6 p.m., across from the restaurant one block south of Exposition Boulevard with the free meal cards being awarded tomorrow between 6 a.m. and 6:10 a.m. If more than 100 people show up by 6 p.m. today all 100 spots will be determined by a raffle.
Will you be one of the first 100? I won't because I don't live in LA anymore. Sadly my wait for Chick-Fil-A continues. Will someone enjoy a #1 with a large sweet tea in my honor?
