He's baaaaa-aaack! Itinerant Chef Ludovic Lefebvre will be popping up with LudoBites once again, but this time in Downtown Los Angeles for a nearly 2-month gig at Gram & Papa's. Word got out late last night as the reservation website was launched, and the Twitterverse went, well, a-Twitter about the news.

For LudoBites 4.0, Lefebvre will continue to dazzle diners with gastronomical wizardry and innovation, letting guests see—and taste—food at its playful, flavorful, and delightful best. The set up at Gram & Papa's is also going to give the likely-enchanted diners an opportunity to see the Chef and his team at work, since the restaurant has an open kitchen design and a small dining room. Says the popular chef of this new pop-up opportunity:

I don’t want to be trapped behind the wall of the kitchen anymore and the open kitchen format at Gram and Papa's will allow me to engage directly with my guests: I want to feel their vibe, be a part of their experience. Not unlike a DJ feeling the beat of his music while he watches the dancing. I want to create an environment that brings people together to experience food together. It is really about creating a community for me.

Community was indeed evident when Lefebvre took his beloved LFC (that's Ludo Fried Chicken, for the uninitiated) on four wheels at the recent LA Street Food Fest.

Will LFC be on the menu? Hard to say, since Lefebvre thrives on switching up the menu, trying new things, and working with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Part of the thrill is seeing just what will be for dinner on the night you're lucky enough to snag a reservation.

And speaking of reservations--go make yours now! LudoBites 4.0 will run for dinner only, from April 8th to May 28th, Tuesdays-Saturdays. And since reservations must be made less than 60 days in advance, you'll have the chance to score seats for the end of the run in the next couple of weeks.

You'll also be able to see Lefebvre cook up excitement in your own home, when he appears on the new season of Top Chef Masters, which debuts in April. And of course, you can always find him on Twitter.
