Au Revoir (For Now)... Last Night at LudoBites

All good things must come to an end, oui? First of all, don't even think about trying to get into LudoBites tonight at Breadbar—it's not going to happen. With extra chairs being put in the tiny space, and the threat of rain dampening (pun intended) the semi-jokingly proposed idea of serving guests using the newspaper boxes outside on the sidewalk of 3rd Street as tables, unless you're in the reservation book LudoBites will have its last supper without you.

Because we'd had such a phenomenal first encounter with the pop-up eatery, we went back for a sophomore try this week just to get in a few more bites before it was too late. One word: Foodgasm. (Hit up the link 2 sentences ago if you require more words.)

Now, we don't mean to tease you with these food porn pictures (and apologize for the dim lighting scheme, c'est la vie when you're dining on some of the most innovative dishes to be served up this summer in the city in the back of the restaurant for the last seating of the night), but rather to give you something to think about for when Chef Ludovic Lefbvre pops up again in another—fingers crossed, ideally a permanent—space. If you missed out tonight, or for the duration of the three-month run, make a note, send yourself and email, put a string around your finger—whatever works—to remind you not to make that mistake again.
