LAistory: Mapping LAist's LAistory Series
View LAist's LAistory Map in a larger map
Our team of researchers* are still knee-deep in material prepping for the next big entry in our series, so in the meanwhile, we thought we'd assemble this map that locates the places and events we've covered so far as LAistory closes in on its 1-year anniversary. Many of the places we've covered aren't even there anymore, but some vestiges remain in the form of buildings re-purposed or re-designed, ruins, plaques and tributes, or, if you're the believing sort, ghosts.
The map is a work in progress, and as we add entries to the series, we'll add placemarks (and photos and the like are forthcoming). Use it to waste away some time in your cubicle during your workday (we won't tell!), to plan your own adventures, or for when you have out of town guests who like history and expect you to play tour guide. Enjoy!
*and by "researchers" I mean myself and series co-contributor, Jacy Young.
