Jan Adams Walks Off Larry King Live After They Flew Him Out to LA to Be on The Show

Say what you will about Larry King (he's old, he gets married too much, he's not flashy, he's not hip) but the old fart sure has kept himself in the news lately.

Last week, if you recall, he "ambushed" Marie Osmond by revealing to his tv audience that her son was in rehab (which led to much drama and Osmond-family-signs-of-support), and yesterday Larry had the infamous plastic surgeon Dr. Jan Adams walk off his set.

Adams is the doctor who allegedly botched Kanye West's mom's tummy tuck and breast reduction which may have led to her death. The show flew Adams back to LA after Mrs. West's funeral to be a guest on the CNN chat program, but within a minute of the start of the show the good doctor was removing his earpiece and telling Larry peace out.

"I want to thank you for this opportunity," Adams told King. "Basically, I had come here to talk about things in the press that aren't accurate about me. ... But I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for the West family. They asked me not to go on. And I've said from the very beginning, I don't have a side in this. ... They are my side, and I'm going to respect their wishes. I'm going to apologize to you because I think I'm taking up your airtime, but I will not be on the show and I will not discuss any of that. I'm going to honor their wishes."

A skeptical looking King then asked, "Will you ever answer questions ... Where does this go?" Adams responded, "I will talk with them. When they're comfortable, then I'll be comfortable. If they're never comfortable, then I'll never be comfortable. They are what's important to me." - MTV

Fortunately for King and his show, the producers had booked several other guests CNN's own chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta who explained that doctor-patient privilege extends to the family of the deceased, a claim seconded by one of Adams' lawyers who also sat on the panel in the absence of the controversial doc.

After the jump Kanye's "Dear Mama" which will make you cry, so get ready.
