We bought this weed for $60/8th from some guy who didn't want to stop playing his playstation. It's a personal favorite known as Sour Diesel, or sometimes "sour dee", or when crossed with another strain it's usually named "_____ Diesel". LAist likes it so much we're doing it again.

Pre-Smoke Examination:
The medium sized nugs range from the size of a quarter up to 2 inches, and are not too fluffy or too dense. In between the dark orange hairs the buds are coated with crystals, it looks like sugar. The smell is pungent like pink eraser shavings, but sweet like breathing in air from the mountains. Also, the nugs could have been trimmed better.

Post-Smoke Examination:
It's great for being ground, leaving you with the perfect consistency to roll it or put it in a bowl. It's sill not too dry, but not exactly fresh off the vine. Even when ground the bowl burns slow, and builds up a fat thick creamy hit, a sure nice way to say "SURPRISE!" to your lungs. The taste is beautiful, kinda woodsy and deep forest-ish with subtle hints of sweetness.

This one is popular with us for good reasons, it's pleasantly strong flavor and consistently pleasant high. Sour Diesel is often bought up quickly, especially when it's good and under the typical clinic price of $75. We might go buy another 8th before we even run out just to make sure we have some for reserves.

We bought an 8th of this stuff from the living room of a shirtless guy with a goatee. It's a popular and familiar strain known as Green Crack and also sold on the market as Mango. People sometimes nickname it "Gee-Cee" for the initials.

Pre-Smoke Examination:
The nugs are long and thick, and come to nice points. They're spongy when you squeeze them, but they're dense as hell. The smell is a sweet fruity funk, hence the alias Mango. These nugs got a hurried manicure by the grower, and could use some extra clippings. The buds are dried just right, and appear to be fairly fresh off the vine. The green is so bright you almost need sunglasses to look at it.

Post-Smoke Examination:
Because it's so dense scissors or a grinder are recommended, otherwise you have to pinch it so hard you might bruise the buds. When ground the pile feels fluffy and soft to the touch, proof of the perfect moistness. The weed burns steady and not too fast, making a nice even hit that isn't too harsh or strong. The taste is smooth like an orange Gatorade, and leaves you wanting more.

You're baked as hell from one bowl, and the high hits you fast. You're stoned for at least 2 1/2 hours, and if the name "green creack" holds true for you as it did for us, you'll snap at least two bong hits just for the flavor alone. At $60 an 8th it's a deal, and we'll buy more of this until it's sold out.

A few days ago LAist bought an 8th out of some surfer guy's living room for $60. He told us it was a cross between Hawaii's Maui-wowee and Northern Cali's Trainwreck, and that it was grown outdoors so it would have that sun-kissed, natural feel as opposed to the sometimes chemy feel of something grown indoors or with hydroponics.

Pre-Smoke Examination:
The large sphere-like nugs are fluffy, loose, and airy. They smell a little like hay, but when you break them open you can definitely notice the traditional Trainwreck scent. The nugs are well trimmed, with only a tiny bit of extra leaf. And they were well dried, but perhaps have been sitting around for a few weeks, because they are starting to be on the cusp of "too dry".

Post-Smoke Examination:
The nugs break apart easily, and can be easily grinded. Again you can tell they're not too dry, because they break apart well, but do not turn to piles of dust. This weed burns fast in the bowl, and creates thick milky hits. The kind that leave resin on your lips. The taste is fairly average: while it isn't bad or gross, it doesn't taste especially great either.

I'm baked off my ass with this weed after the second bowl. It might be because there is some-what of a creeper effect. You're more stoned 20 minutes after your first bowl then you are 20 seconds after the first bowl. And the high lasted me a good 2 hours. We would buy this weed again because it's very stoney, and $60/8th is a sorta decent price.
