The Hollywood Reporter put up more analysis of how NBC's bid on the Olympics does have a silver lining. While it's possible that NBC might lose $250 million on advertising during the Olympics broadcast, the network will expect surges in viewing all of its other shows and networks ("The Today Show", CNBC, MSNBC, etc.).

Move over, dodgeball, there's a new sport in town:Curling. Yup. It seems that the Winter Olympic sport that combines shuffleboard, bocce and ice has quite a growing following in LA. We spent an open-house learning session recently with the super cool Hollywood Curling team and learned a few things about the oft-maligned sport.
What if Someone Held an Olympics and Nobody Watched?
The Winter Olympics in Turino -- formerly Turin for those English speakers who thought that extra "o" was just too much to pronounce -- have been akin to the proverbial two-week-old, 500-pound elephant in the room for most Angelenos. Ratings have been down, thanks to a myriad of factors (e.g., hyped superstars coming up duds, other networks throwing up new programs, it's too cold in LA to watch cold sports on TV).
