With Toast, Milk, Breadbar Joan's, A.O.C., Ortolan, The Little Door (plus The Little Door Next Door) and more, West Third Street has always been a nice restaurant row. Now two eateries a poised to open, adding tacos and burgers to the mix, notes Tasha Nita Adams at Mondette, a lifestyle blog about the area.
Tacos & Burgers: More Eateries Prepping to Open on West 3rd Street
New Burger Eatery Coming to West 3rd, Gastropub to Fairfax
For those who love a good burger, more new places are revving up for an opening. Tasha Nita Adams at Blackburn and Sweetzer finds that Surya India on West 3rd Street is set to become The Burger Factory, according to a public notice posted in the restaurant window. Also, word on the street is that a gastropub will be taking over the old Largo space on Fairfax, a few storefronts down from Golden State.
What is Sean MacPherson's Next Restaurant?
What isn't this man involved in? Sean MacPherson has his hands in Bar Lubitsch, the Roger Room, the Good Luck Bar, Jones, El Carmen and Swingers (his bid for the Magic Castle appears to be over, though). Now it appears he's gotten ahold of Orso on West 3rd Street (across from Cedars Sinai and the Beverly Center), according to state records, which could mean plans to open a new eatery or bar. Earlier this month, a Chowhound posting indicated the building was in escrow. As one of the area's big-time operators, he's a man who brings L.A. quality eateries and bars, so whatever this is to be, we're sure it's a good thing.
Cafe Introduces Minnesotan-Inspired Cheese Stuffed Burgers
It's good to be the son of a restaurant owner. Miriam Toam's son loved the Jucy Lucy burger trend in Minneapolis so much, he convinced her to experiment and make her own for Mira'le Cafe and Grill on West 3rd Street. Customers gave a thumbs up and now five cheese stuffed burgers are on the menu, whether it be a brie with cranberries, blue cheese with carmelized onions or pepper jack with bacon and avocado. Toam says she can also do it with veggie and turkey burgers by doubling up the patties. She also offers gluten-free breaks and burger buns upon request. The morning and afternoon cafe has been around for just over a year and so far is faring well with Yelpers.
