Photos: Riding The Historic Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
Featured in several films and television shows over the years, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is a pretty stunning introduction to the dynamic desert landscape. It might be 90 degrees on Palm Canyon Drive, but once you get two and a half miles up Chino Canyon in the rotating (yes, they rotate!) tramcar, it's just plain cooler up at the top, from the temperature to the stunning views.
Traffic in DTLA Is Basically Going to Blow This Weekend
If you have to drive in, to, from, near, or around Downtown L.A. this weekend, well...don't. Because traffic is probably going to blow. That's the official word (with some poetic license) from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, who have their eye on four upcoming major events that will have the streets clogged with people taking part in the festivities.

'Breast Picture' Rewards Your Laziness
Imagine, if you will, a down-and-out porn director, desperate to make a legitimate film. Naturally, his reputation precedes him, and the only people willing to make his dream come true are the ragtag crew members from his porno sets. So, armed with skeezy studio money earmarked for a particularly boorish production, the director finds himself secretly filming legitimate cinema
with porn stars. Not exactly ‘high brow’, but then again neither is spending an afternoon in a papasan chair eating Cool Ranch Doritos and nursing a headache.

Wet Weekend Ahead
Today's gloomy skies weren't ordered up by Hollywood moguls to set the mood for your viewing of the new Harry Potter movie. Break out your umbrellas and trade your flip flops for some sturdier footwear, since we're heading for a wet weekend. On Sunday, temps will be about the same, with a 60% chance of more rain. This rainy weather will be a challenge for tomorrow's Great LA Walk (the walk goes on!) but a boon for hot chocolate lovers...Hello, LAMill!
