Post Office Gives a Warning About Voting by Mail

Unlike tax forms, a postmark date on or by election day on an absentee ballot in California does not mean it's eligible. The United States Post Office today encouraged voters to not just voter early (and often), but to also "mail early." If so, today is the last day to register to vote, but in order to do so, you have to physically drop off your application in at the county's Registrar-Recorder headquarters in Norwalk. "Registration forms and a deposit box for completed forms will be available in the front lobby," noted the department in an e-mail.
