The President of the United Mexican States Felipe Calderón Hinojosa visits the City of Angels today for a working visit with local community leaders in Downtown L.A. His visit is slated for 4pm to 7pm at the Los Angeles Convention Center and LA Live. Downtowners should expect street closures, hence a potential increase in traffic, plus protests.

Famous Chilean Miners Have Gone Hollywood Today
When the 33 trapped Chilean miners emerged from underground, they sported sunglasses that had been sent to them from Southern California. Today, the miners have come to Southern California, and are spending their L.A. by taking a Hollywood tour, then heading to CNN to tape a special called "CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute," according to the Beverly Hills Courier. The taping takes place at the Shrine Auditorium, and will air on Thanksgiving. Hopefully the miners brought those Oakley shades to help them take on their newfound fame, and today's lovely sunshine.
