After a series of robberies by three suspects around the North Village area of Westwood Village, UCLA campus police saturated the area with undercover officers eventually witnessing a street robbery in progress. "We caught the suspects with a little bit of luck and a little bit of experience,” UCPD Sergeant Robert De Francesco told the Daily Bruin.
