The Emmys are finally here and we'll be reporting them live today. I'll be on the red carpet where arrivals are expected to start at 2:30pm and conclude at 4:45pm. We'll be tweeting via @TheTVJunkie and we will attempt to Ustream from the red carpet at our channel depending on how pummeled the cellular network is in downtown LA. Lindsay William-Ross will be liveblogging the awards on LAist starting at 5pm with nuggets from myself in the press room. Later on the the evening we will be at the HBO after-party at the Pacific Design Center so follow my twitter feed for updates from there. HBO is expected to walk away with a couple dozen awards by the end of the Emmys so we expect spirits to be high. Tomorrow we will have a wrap up of the day with our own high-quality photos and video.

OVGuide.com - The Best Site You've Never Heard Of
Can I just say that after giving up TV, I have had a bitch of a time trying to find Family Guy and Sex and the City episodes (which I have recently gotten re-addicted to over the Christmas holiday) online. I found a solution (and something else to get addicted to) – OVGuide.com. OVG is now on my Firefox toolbar – and that's a big deal to me, though maybe not you because you don't know how important something has to be to me to land a spot on that toolbar.

A Word or 52(approx): Gouge away if you wish, but Lost was excellent last night. Tonight - Thursday - May 3, 2007 Angels @ Royals (FoxSports, 7:00...

Peter Frampton doing "Black Hole Sun"
We were flipping between E!'s red carpet coverage of the Grammy arrivals and TV Guide Channel's coverage (Melissa and Joan beats Ryan Seacrest - big surprise) when we saw Debbie Matenopolous swooning all over Peter Frampton who let it be known that he had covered Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" and it was nominated for an award. We nearly kicked over the bong running to the computer to see if YouTube could confirm. And not...
Fields' "The Bank Dick" highlights a night of Oldies
Perhaps you're like us, recovering from that six week full-court press of shopping, traveling, eating, smiling, wrapping, unwrapping and now you just want to sit back and not get fed any more BS. If that's the case, tonight is the night for you as LA is screening not one, not two, but six olde school black & white classic films this evening all around town.

Yesterday the LA County Board of Supervisors voted to regulate medical marijuana dispensaries, effectively lifting a ban on medical marijuana in unincorporated areas of the county. The Daily News reports that several facilities had been dispensing medical marijuana anyway, including 20 in the San Fernando Valley.
