Tonight, as always, local multi-instrumentalist/producer extraordinaire Jon Brion (LAist Interview, #2, Review) will be jamming with friends at the Largo at the Coronet. English rockers Band of Skulls are poised to perform to a sold-out crowd at the Troubadour with none other than local indie rockers Red Cortez (LAist Review, #2, #3). And, lastly, Saint Louis-bred alt-rockers Son Volt will be headlining the El Rey Theatre. But we strongly suggest heading over to Spaceland to catch prolific San Diegan post rock instrumentalists Tristeza, who will be ringing in their latest endeavor—2009's Fate Unfolds.

But we strongly suggest heading over to the Troubadour to catch Mississippi-bred ukulele maestro Dent May (LAist Interview). The New Pornographers' front man AC Newman is poised to headline.
