Thes One and Double K, the self-proclaimed B-boys of People Under The Stairs, are poised to headline the Key Club in Hollywood. And, lastly, the Raincoats, Crystal Stilts, Abe Vigoda and WEAVE!, among many, many others, will be commandeering the Echo and the Echoplex for this year's Part Time Punks Festival. But we strongly suggest doing whatever it takes to get into the Henry Fonda Music Box to catch Seattle-based indie rock progenitors Sunny Day Real Estate. LAist favorites, local indie rockers the Jealous Sound are slated to kick things off.

But we strongly suggest heading over to the Roxy to catch LAist's favorite English electro pop outfit Metronomy (LAist Review). LA-based afro-centric indie pop act Fool's Gold are slated to kick things off.

Tonight Canadian poet, novelist and singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen will be taking on a two-date stint at Club Nokia in Downtown. Scottish pop rockers Travis are poised to headline the Wiltern with LAist favorites the Republic Tigers (LAist Interview) in tow. As always, local producer/multi-instrumentalist Jon Brion (LAist Review) will be jamming with friends at Largo at the Coronet. And, lastly, Winnetka-bred experimental beat-maker Flying Lotus will be gracing the Echoplex. But we strongly suggest stopping by Spaceland to check out Israeli shock rock troupe Monotonix (LAist Review).

Tonight rappers Method Man and Redman will be performing at the House of Blues Sunset. We can only surmise that they'll be performing songs from 1999's Blackout!. Brit-rockers Travis is set to play to a sold-out crowd at the Troubadour. Florida's own Copeland will be shelling out saccharine indie pop songs at the El Rey Theatre in support of 2008's You Are My Sunshine. You'll surely get your fix of falsetto. Brooklyn-based pop rockers Bishop Allen will be performing at the Echo. And, lastly, psych rock act Spindrift will be celebrating the release of their forthcoming full length, 2008's The West, with grizzly blues rock duo Restavrant at the Roxy. But we suggest heading over to the Echoplex to catch Indie 103's Check One Twosday. Local indie rock songbirds Earlimart will be accompanied by Red Cortez, formerly known as the Weather Underground.
