USC sprinter Bryshon Nellum, dubbed "the fastest kid in the world," was shot three times in his legs while attending a Halloween party last night near the campus at Leonardo's. The 19-year-old was hit in the left thigh with two bullets and once in his right hamstring, according to abc7.com, and underwent an ultimately successful surgery last night and California Hospital Medical Center near downtown Los Angeles. USC's track coach Ron Allice says he believes Nellum's track career is not over.
