Police say that the naked, yelling and wildly gesticulating guy who climbed all the way up a tower in downtown Los Angeles and stayed there for six hours only agreed to come down once his demand for McDonald's hamburgers was met.

A naked man climbed to the top of a tower in downtown this afternoon.
Witnesses said not only is he naked but he's been gesticulating wildly and yelling. An LAPD spokesman confirms with City News Service that, yeah, the man might be "mentally unstable" and he's threatening to jump.

Century City Condo Fire Smokes Up The Sky
The Los Angeles Fire Department has confirmed that one person suffered minor burn injuries in a high-rise fire in Century City on Sunday afternoon, reports the LA TImes. The fire, first reported around 2:15 p.m., was contained to one unit on the 20th floor of 2170 Century Park East.
Mt. Wilson Webcam Keeps an Eye on the Adjacent Station Fire
One major concern when it comes to the Station Fire is its proximity to Mount Wilson, which is home to a renowned 105-year-old Observatory, as well as communication towers for many local television and radio outlets ("relay broadcasting"). Although there are no personnel currently allowed on Mt. Wilson, they are monitoring the fire as best they can via the news, and posting updates to their website. They also operate a live webcam from one of the towers, which you can look at here. This morning they noted: "Towercam images during the night showed Red Box area flaming dying down, which is good news, but current Towercam scenes are obscured by smoke."
New 43-Story Tower Approved for Downtown
A new mixed use tower to across the street from the LA Convention Center was approved today by City Council. It will be New York City-based architect Daniel Libeskind's first for Los Angeles and the savvy architectural readers at Curbed LA are mostly giving a thumbs up. The building, located at 1340 S Figueroa Street, will include " include 273 residential units stacked atop an eight-level podium, restaurants and a spa," according to the LA Times.
