If the insider tip is true, you better hurry up as the Tofu Festival closes its doors at 6 p.m. today. According to our source the non-profit Little Tokyo Service Center, who operates the festival as a fundraiser, is not making enough money from the two-day event to make it worthwhile. Supposedly, other events will come in the future, but the 'fu is over with. We sincerely hope this claim is false. If it is,......

Don't forget to head out to the LA Tofu Festival and Sunset Junction Street Fair this weekend! Several large Japanese corporations are working with Japanese American community organizations in L.A. to bring a massive float to the U.S. for the first time. The very "principled" Republicans senators in the California legislature are citing fiscal sanity and their constituents as the primary factors driving their continued stalling on the budget bill. A man was hit......

We love tofu. We love tofu festival. However, it felt unusually crowded this year. But hey, that's good for the 'fu! The newest addition to this year's festival was the high amount of Malingering type victims. Why didn't you come Malingering??!! The Lost Hawaiian came and despite traffic, parking, high prices and being caught in a Skid Row riot when he got lost en route, he loved it. We dealt with traffic and parking......

Ohhhhh, you meant key fob when talking about dangerous devices on airplanes minutes ago at the LAX news conference about today's events. Your tiny blunders are so cute and we thank you for keeping LA safe. We also think that pink polo t-shirt you wore to the Tofu Festival last year was superbly dapper. We hope to see you there again this year! Photo of the Mayor not at the Tofu Festival by jimw......

Tonight, we could've been going to see Liz Phair at the Troub but we'll be bar crawling in Santa Monica and Venice instead. We thought we were too old for the crawl but someone else's birthday wishes suggest we're not.
