Charlie Sheen Rushed to Hospital This Morning
TMZ is reporting that actor Charlie Sheen was "taken out of his home on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance at 7 AM." Sheen was reportedly taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital for an as-yet unknown condition. The celeb gossip site says that Sheen was taken out of the house with "a towel partially over his face," and that "two young women" accompanied him out. Another gossip site, Hollyscoop, says that they've been told by Sheen's publicist Stan Rosenfield the Two and a Half Men star "was having severe abdominal pains and went to the hospital." A 9-1-1- call was reportedly logged at 6:35 a.m.

Actress Jaime Pressly, most known for her role on TV's "My Name is Earl," was arrested in Santa Monica last night under suspicion she was driving under the influence. Pressly was pulled over around 11 p.m. last night after authorities witnessed her making a traffic violation. The mother of two, who was alone in the car, was booked and held on $15,000 bail, higher than the typical $5000, says TMZ. The gossip site says experts tell them bail is often higher "is when the driver's blood-alcohol level is higher than .15. [TMZ has] not, however, been able to confirm Jaime's level."

Fans of Michael Jackson, and French-Canadian acrobatics, rejoice! Cirque du Soleil and executors for the estate of the late King of Pop have inked a deal for two upcoming shows, according to TMZ. The first show will be a traveling show employing Jackson's songs and an emphasis on dancing, slated to debut in the fall of 2011, with a stop planned for LA's Staples Center, which also served as the venue for Jackson's massive memorial service last year. Las Vegas will be home to a "theme-park-like show" starting n 2012, which is described in its current conceptual stage as being "far more theatrical with emphasis on technology and 3D." Cirque du Soleil and the Jackson estate will equally split both costs and profits; it is expected they will generate a great deal of revenue.

Actress Brittany Murphy was taking hundreds of prescription pills a month prior to her death, and was even using an alias to obtain additional and often duplicate scrips, according to TMZ. The gossip site notes: "Pharmacy records show Murphy was getting regular scrips for hydrocodone (Vicodin), clonazepam and Klonopin (anti-anxiety), and Vicoprofen (a Vicodin/ibuprofen combo) -- doubling up on some prescriptions on certain months," in quantities sometimes as much as 100-300 of each drug. Murphy used the name "Lola Manilow Murphy -- at Eddie's Pharmacy in Los Angeles for nearly two years ... before the pharmacy finally cut her off 4 months before her death." The 32-year-old actress died on December 20th.

Murray Charged With Involuntary Manslaughter in Jackson's Death
As expected, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office has formally filed charges in Superior Court against 56-year-old Conrad Murray, the doctor who administered a fatal dose of propofol to popstar Michael Jackson last summer, reports LA Now. The complaint implicates Murray for acting “without due caution and circumspection," thereby playing a key role in the singer's death. The charges are the result of a 7-month homicide investigation that focused intently on the role the Nevada and Texas-based cardiologist with financial woes played in Jackson's care and ultimate demise. Murray, who turned himself in as pre-arranged this morning, was spotted by TMZ photographers leisurely reading the morning paper in an L.A. cafe prior to his arrest.
