The Ist-community are fans of Ratatat. How could we not be when their album, Classics, is an electro-indie haven. Great guitar riffs, dance beats and sans vocal make it a fun album to share with friends. Our favorite song is Wildcat, and upon first hearing it went around for two days (to the dismay of our roommates) going "Raaarrrr." Followed by tropicana, a slow starting song that would fit perfectly into a movie where a bunch of trouble making teens are walking up a hill to solve a mystery.

Every month, LAist ges together and has drinks. Lately, we've hit Atwater Village (The Roost), Los Feliz (Good Luck Bar), Hollywood (The Well) and West L.A. (Don Antonio's). Considering how often we're at the Arclight or up the block at Daddy's or The Well, it's surprising that we've never actually stepped foot in Sunset+Vine. We've never had cause to check out the Border's (which is the only thing we ever notice when we fly past the garish building) or to find out what's going on at Zen Zoo Tea and Kabuki Sushi.
