Tonight In Rock: Miike Snow, The Like, Madi Diaz, The Physics Of Meaning

Tonight Swedish electro pop outfit Miike Snow will be taking on the second night of sold-out, three-date stint at the Henry Fonda Music Box with none other than LAist favorite, Nashville's Daniel James, better known as Canon Blue. Berklee grad and Nashville's most promising pop folk songstress Madi Diaz is poised to grace Bardot in Hollyweird; It should be noted that Miike Snow will be DJing here after their show. And, lastly, loose-knit Durham-based collective, Daniel Hart's the Physics of Meaning will be taking on the Spaceland. The aforementioned violin virtuoso has lent his skills to St. Vincent, John Vanderslice and the Polyphonic Spree in times past. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Echo to catch LA-bred all-female, retro 60s pop rock quartet The Like (LAist Review, #2, #3), who recently recorded their forthcoming debut with none other than Mark Ronson and Phantom Planet front man Alex Greenwald. Local "retro-leaning" pop rock quintet the Young Veins, which of course features not one, but two former members of Panic! At The Disco, are slated to kick things off. more ›
