I'm one of those paranoid, overly dramatic people who convince themselves that the entire world is out to get them. A lot of my paranoid delusions revolve around driving, of course: that dude slowed down just to piss me off! Every time I change lanes traffic gets worse! (Also known as the "Office Space" rule.) These lights are timed badly just to slow me down!

It's such a great shame that Adrienne Shelly's life was cut so tragically short last year. Her last film, may be the greatest DVD title in the history of the universe.

The long drought is over my friends -- regular programming is back, we have new shows and new series coming on every day. My life has some purpose again. Courtney Love's last words to Kurt Cobain seem to capture our feelings towards the whole Anaheim Angels vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim fracas perfectly. For those of you not keeping up with petty sports politics, Angels owner Arte Moreno is being sued by the City of Anaheim for changing the team's name. The city claims that by calling the team "The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" he is violating the terms of his stadium lease.

This was only a matter of time. With Arte Moreno proving to be an owner who understands winning, the Dodgers need to protect their turf as much as possible. The Dodgers still dominate LA, so why allow anyone to infringe on their pseudo-monopoly?

LAist was surprised and intrigued to find out that they're all Honorary Committee Members for the Kerry/Edwards Campaign and probably have, really, no involvement whatsoever in the Saturday, October 2nd event "An Evening with Kerry/Edwards" featuring musical artists such as the Black Eyed Peas.

The future of LA football took a dramatic turn yesterday, as it was learned that the NFL contacted Anaheim about potentially building a stadium. The proposed facility would be placed right by Angel Stadium and be paid for by the NFL or the incoming pro team.
