Tonight LA is taking a breather. We've got the second night of Durham-based folk rockers the Mountain Goats' two-date stint at the Troubadour with Kaki King. Ian MacKaye, of Minor Threat and Fugazi fame, will be doing a Q&A session at Hollywood High. And, lastly, LA-based singer-songwriter Rachael Cantu will be playing the final night of her month-long residency at Tangier. For us there is no better LA street fair than the Sunset Junction annual event in the Silver Lake stretch of Sunset Blvd. One can enjoy eating chicken on a stick and drinking a beer while peoplewatching the hipsters, the kids, those of alternative lifestyles, and the random tourists who don't really know what they've stumbled into.
