Tonight the famed Watkins Family Hour (LAist Review) will be taking place at Largo at the Coronet. LA-based alternative rock troubadour Cary Brothers (LAist Interview) is poised to grace the Hotel Café, ringing in his latest endeavor—2010's Under Control. And, lastly, local experimental electro trio known as Ja Prawn will be performing in-store at Origami Vinyl. But we strongly suggest heading over to Spaceland to catch LA-by-way-of-New Orleans alternative hip hop duo the Knux (LAist Interview). Local indie rockers the Holloys are slated to kick things off.

Week In Rock: Liars, Corinne Bailey Rae, The Knux, Miles Kurosky
This week critically-acclaimed New York-based experimental rock trio Liars will be headlining the El Rey Theatre with none other than local indie rockers Fol Chen—a couple of whom will be partaking in the Liars' set in fact. English jazz-infused soul singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae is poised to perform to a sold-out crowd at Vibiana, a former Archdiocese cathedral built in 1876 in Downtown. We're told that not only is it the first time they've opened the doors at the aforementioned venue for a major ticketed music event, but it will also be the first time KCRW has ever recorded one of its live concerts for future broadcast on the station; It will air in its entirety April 9th on Morning Becomes Eclectic. LA-by-way-of-New Orleans alternative hip hop duo the Knux (LAist Interview) will be gracing Spaceland with local indie rockers the Holloys in tow. And, lastly, beloved Beulah front man, Portland-based singer-songwriter Miles Kurosky will be taking on the Echo.

Tonight HARD Summer, a massive multi-stage festival boasting a bevy of prominent electronic acts like Underworld, Chromeo, Crookers, Tiga, SebastiAn, the Bloody Beetroots and many more, will be taking place at the Forum. This year's Rock the Bells, which features the likes of Nas, Damian Marley, Ice Cube, The Roots, Common, Busta Rhymes, RZA, GZA, Raekwon, Slum Village, the Knux (LAist Interview) and many more, is set to take place at San Manuel Amphiteatre.
