So many events, so little time. Concete Frequency's latest installment is tonight and there's always Disney on Ice (skaters, not Walt), but here's a sampling of the other good stuff to be done in LA tonight. PHOTOGRAPHY Photo LA started today and runs through the weekend. It's the largest show dedicated to the art of the camera. More than 74 galleries will showcase thousands of photographs. There are numerous seminars on collecting and an Artist......

Mark Sarvas has championed local reading series, excoriated the LA Times Book Review, and tirelessly blogged about all things literary on his site The Elegant Variation. He is also a founding member of the LitBlog Co-Op (more about that below), which announced its latest......

We've just learned, via Eonline, that In Touch magazine's spreading the story that Ben Affleck bummed a twenty off a papparazzo recently to buy a fruit smoothie in girlfriend Jennifer Garner's Brentwood neighborhood. In Touch breathlessley recounts, "Ben took the money, went into the store and left," says the photog, who was reportedly happy to let Affleck keep the change." Geez, what a novel way to panhandle. Let's all try it the next time......
