And, lastly, local indie rockers the Deadly Syndrome (LAist Review, #2, #3, #4) will be headlining the El Rey Theatre for this year's Tarfest. But we strongly suggest heading over to Spaceland to catch the phoenix that rose from the ashes of Page France, Maryland-based indie folk act Cotton Jones. Pennsylvanian mash-up king Girl Talk (LAist Review, #2) is poised to headline the Pomona Fox Theater with LAist favorites Brother Reade (LAist Interview, Review) and Walter Meego (LAist Review) in tow. And, lastly, Brooklyn-based electronic act the Golden Filter will be gracing the Avalon in Hollywood. Local alternative rock outfit War Tapes will be ringing in their forthcoming debut at Boardner's. And, lastly, Swedish indie pop guru Jens Lekman will be taking on a two-night stint at the Echo. But we strongly suggest heading over to the El Rey Theatre to catch former Red House Painters front man, San Francisco-based singer-songwriter Mark Kozelek as Sun Kil Moon. LAist's favorite chanteuse Mia Doi Todd is slated to kick things off.
