There are two movies that are being scandalously left off the year-end best lists. The first, Rescue Dawn, is already out on DVD. The second, Once, is available today. Simply put, this is one of the best musicals and love stories in years. Buy it and watch it immediately. The Simpsons Movie was much better than I expected. If only the same care was put into the TV series. Why did Stardust bomb? It......

Common - "The People" "The People" was one of our most-played summer jamz. It was on Kanye's "Can't Tell Me Nothin" sampler because Kanye produced it and listen to how sweet it is. It's the sort of non-thug, uplifting, positive hip-hop that people once talked about, but now people are buying. This is the direction BEP could have gone if they hadn't chosen the path of the lowest common denominator aka the Gwen Stefani......

This film is a unique and singular treat, and while my experienced was bolstered by extras such as the Q&A with the directors and stars and the live......

Yesterday we told you how to see 14 pretty good bands this Friday at Coachella, so now let's do Saturday using the Coachooser. Sadly even though the middle day has our most anticipated act, The Arcade Fire, it has the fewest amount of bands that we want to see, a paltry 15. Nine of them are playing between 2:30 and 5:30, and five of those are all playing at the same time! While we......

There are really only two major music festivals that truly matter, like really matter: Coachella and South by Southwest. The former happens over two three days in the desert near Palm Springs, the latter rages for about a week on the dusty streets of Austin, Texas. SXSW features over 1,000 bands. You buy a wristband and you wander from bar to bar, club to club, alleyway to patio and you get to see some......
