It's been more than a month since The Dark Knight hit screens, yet it remained in the top five at number four grossing movies raking in $10.3 million dollars. Still at the top of their game, the offending-to-some Tropic Thunder came in first at $16.1 million with House Bunny trailing behind at $15.1 million. Death Race at number three did a decent $12.3 million, but rounding out the top five is Star Wars: The Clone Wars who only did $5.66 million.

Oscar winning actor, Morgan Freeman has been injured in a car accident. The actor who currently appears in "The Dark Knight" is in the hospital and is listed in serious condition. ABC News reports, "Morgan Freeman is in serious condition at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn., after a car accident, Ben Williams, Mississippi Highway patrol sergeant, told ABC News today. 'Mr. Freeman was involved in an accident around 11:30 p.m. yesterday. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Mississippi Highway 32 in Tallahatchie County. The vehicle ran off the edge of the road and began to flip several times,' he said. 'The doors were jammed on the vehicle from the rolling and flipping,' he continued. 'We had to break the doors open with the jaws of life to extract him.'"
Talk about a super blockbuster, The Dark Knight continues to come in at number one in weekend box office returns ($43.8 million) after its third weekend, but The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor came in close at second ($42.4 million). Rounding out the top five are Step Brothers ($16.2 million), Mamma Mia! ($13.1 million) and Journey to the Center of the Earth ($6.9 million).
Gothamist, parent site to LAist, is reporting the death of Heath Ledger. "Actor Heath Ledger was found dead in downtown Manhattan apartment by the police. Some reports say he died from an overdose." Ledger lived on Broome street.
