The Rapture blew everyone away with stage presence that rivals the Rolling Stones. It was all high fives, fist pumps... even crowd surfing and a mosh pit. The Mayan is a cool venue too, with trap doors, secret passages, and tribal decor. It's like watching a concert in the middle of "Indiana Jones and the Temples of Doom". The Rapture's saxophone/cow bell/synth guy had this infectious two-step dance thing he did, while the drummer......

Why Queen is messing with around with any other singer than Mika is an exercise in futility. Paul Rodgers? Are you kidding me? And he writes good songs, good enough to get picked up by Motorola's red campaign (see the video after the jump). Queen needs to sign this guy up and fast. Mika @ The Troubadour Blue Oyster Cult @ Grove of Anaheim The Gears, The Crowd, The 77s @ Safari Sam's Heavens,......

This is an antiwar protester. 1st Kid: Ancient History. 2nd Kid: Old School. 3rd Kid: Heavy. The Crowd watches the Protester as he works himself into a lather, repeating: "No War!" in as many different ways and with as much passion,......

There's only one band that matters in rock today. Their music is loud and offensive. They appear to be murdering cartoon characters. They appear to be invading the planet. They're funny and fast and have horrible songs, but you will never go to a Gwar show and come out of the pit unscathed without a smile on your face. Pearl Jam doesn't have the balls to let them open for them which is another......

For those who've tied up their loose ends and want something to do on a fine Sunday evening, John Lucero / Black Label Skateboards will be screening Who Cares: The Duane Peters Story for free tonight at The Echo. Chronicling decades of balls-out skateboarding and back-alley music, this hour-long biopic lays out the twisted tale of one of the most influential skateboarders and punk rockers on the planet. From the infamous Death Loop and......
