Tonight local indie folk collective Family of the Year will be warming up the stage at the Troubadour for Orange County-bred indie rock quintet Young the Giant, who will be concluding their month-long residency. Local indie rockers West Indian Girl are poised to grace the Hotel Café. And, lastly, Portland-by-way-of-Los Angeles boy/girl duo Magic Johnson will be taking on the Smell in Downtown. But we strongly suggest doing whatever it takes to get into the Hollywood Bowl to catch British electronic duo the Chemical Brothers. LAist favorites, Québécois electro-funk duo Chromeo and Portland's own experimental electronic duo YACHT are slated to kick things off.
