As part of a statewide effort, Attorney General Kamala D. Harris announced today that agents seized 1,209 guns from people who are legally barred from having them, including those who are deemed mentally unstable, people with active restraining orders and known gang members. The Dodgers brought their NL Division series to a close with a 3-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs last night here at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers swept the three-game series, keeping the Cubs a full 100 years since their last World Series win and another year away from the chance. For the Dodgers it's the first post-season series win in 20 years, and an exciting wrap-up to their first year under the direction of Joe Torre.
